Remember the Royal Enfield Build Train Race bikes we posted about? To remind you, four 650 Interceptor Twins built by four American women to take part in dirt track races at select AFT rounds. Sideburn reader Bob Metz took this shot of one of the bikes being tested by its builder, Jillian Deschenes, at a recent practice day at New Ulm, Minnesota. Bob says, 'This was a School/Practice day put on by the Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club on their 3/8 mile short track.'
So many custom bikes never get ridden. It's great to see Jillian out riding her bike, ready for the race season to restart. Like Jeff Wright of FTWCo/Church of Choppers once wrote, Every race bike can be a show bike, but not every show bike can be a race bike. GI
Dig! I'd love to ride one of these. I like them...a lot.
