After a super laidback drive from Bruges, we arrived in Amsterdam mid-afternoon. The first person we saw when we arrived at the Rusty Gold Motorshop was our mate Tom Bing, who was in the Dutch capital chasing down some stories in the days before the race on a borrowed Yamaha XSR900. Zoran handed out the Heineken. James had been slurping it in the driver's seat all the way from Hermanus, but this was my first little beer of the day and it tasted good.
Rusty Gold's owner, Zoran, had emptied a lot of the store for a pop-up stall he was going to run at Hells Race, so we didn't get a full feel of the place, but we still like it.
I was most taken with this old Bell XF-GP drag helmet (modelled by Black Dots Video).
Lennard Schuurmans is good friends with Zoran, they've run events together and Lenny still has an office at Rusty Gold, even though he is now a full-time tattoo artist. Lenny came back to load his Suzuki GR650 Town Smoker, that he'd race at Hells Race.

Ha! I've known a few.
