We have a handful of places left on the Lesotho tour for next February, on these trails, seeing these sights. And you'll deserve a holiday by then. Here are the details...
Following up our extremely successful Morocco and Himalayan trips, we have introduced a new Sideburn tour for early February 2018, in Lesotho, Southern Africa, with our trusted partners at MotoAventures.
This is a brand new trip, and the Sideburn group will be the first to experience it. Because of this, and because of our great relationship with MotoAventures, we have a special price of €3100 per person (see details below). MotoAventures tell us the price will of this tour raise to something in the region of €4000 after this first trip.
The adventure starts and ends in Johannesburg, South Africa with seven days of riding in the middle in the landlocked kingdom. Accommodation is a mix of high quality hotels and lodges every night. I've included some links to the accommodation in the itinerary below.
The ride will take place on late-model BMW Twins. The route is roughly 50% road and 50% trail/off-road. This is what MotoAventures say about the trip.
'The riding in and around Lesotho is exceptional both on and off road. It comprises the best riding I have ever done. The new Chinese asphalt from Sani to Maliba is undoubtedly the best road riding I've ever done anywhere in the world, no question. The off roading is perfect for the bigger adventure bikes, challenging but not too much.
'Lesotho needs to be visited, it's an amazing country, to this end the riding days are not too long allowing people to enjoy each destination. The Maletsunyane waterfall near the Semonkong Lodge has a 200m straight drop and is a must see. Sani Pass has to be ridden and many more.
'I'm super stoked about this tour, I've wanted to do it since I first visited Lesotho more than 10 years ago.'
