This is a very powerful and depressing video presentation from Dutch at Bike Shed highlighting problems in London that I didn't know had got to such epic scales. According to this video 50 bikes a day are stolen in London, many in broad daylight, with next to nothing being done about it.
Dutch says to support We Ride London, but beyond that the message is very grim. Sorry for harshing your weekend mellow, but things are out of hand in the UK capital.
Also, if you're thinking of going on a Halloween ride-out in one of the major UK cities, think twice. Most of them are an excuse for bike thieves to large it up and be protected by the crowd. Don't be one of those who enables them.
