Indian has been supporting grassroots and pro flat track since 2015. They’re now two-time American Flat Track Grand National Champions, and, at the Williams Grove Half-Mile, the most recent race to writing this, they had 15 FTR750s in the 18-rider GNC main. Add to that their support of the US Super Hooligan scene, and their sponsorship of the DTRA in the UK, Hells Race in the Netherlands and El Rollo in Spain, it's clear they’re pumping a lot of money and support into the sport we love.
I write this with the launch of the much anticipated FTR1200 still a month away, and Indian don’t currently have a bike that obviously capitalises on all that marketing and Saturday night success, though the raise in profile and proof of engineering prowess will help the brand in general.
Instead, it’s been left to customisers to offer kits to convert existing Indian models. Roland Sands Designs sold parts they’d developed for their Super Hooligan racer Scouts, but it was only ever a limited production run. Now UK customiser and Indian main dealer, Krazy Horse, are offering this handsome Street Hooligan kit.
Krazy Horse converted five Scouts, four 60s and a 1200, as a dealer team to compete in the DTRA’s series and other events across Europe, picking up fans and endless social media traction for the brand and the sport. Now their road-legal Street Hooligan Is finally ready for release.
The kit can be bought fitted to a brand new bike, as a complete bolt-on for a used Scout or as individual parts (though they recommend the kit is fitted by an authorised Indian dealer).
